About the Old City Traders’ & Business Forum

The Old City Traders’ & Business Forum is an informal group of local businesses that meet regularly to network and utilise opportunities to improve the competitiveness of the Old City area of Bristol.

Issues being addressed by the group include:

  • Traffic / Transport / Parking
  • Cleanliness
  • Identity / Location / Destination
  • Atmosphere / Streetscape
  • Events
  • Crime / Antisocial Behaviour
  • Economic Development

The Old City Forum meets approximately every 8 weeks, at different businesses and venues in the Old City. The meetings are facilitated by Destination Bristol and apart from local traders and businesses are usually attended by the local Police team, local Councillors, representatives from Bristol City Council and special guest speakers.

By working together many achievements have already been made – including this website which combines a wealth of information about the area.

Anyone who works in and around the Old City is welcome to attend our meetings. Only by working together can the group represent the interests of a large number of traders and businesses in the area and maximise benefits for all.
