An 18th century pub in Bristol now boasts its own cinema following a £300,000 investment.

Horts on Broad Street was restored by London-headquartered brewery giant Young's. As part of the work, the brewer added a 26-seat cinema, entitled the Director's Cut.

This cinema includes leather reclining seats, surround sound and wi-fi. It is designed to appeal to Bristol's creative community with a variety of exclusive hire options available, including dinner-and-movie packages, as well as access for the general public.

Steve Gallagher, operations director at Young's, said: "The cinema has given Horts pub a new lease of life and feedback has been terrific. We've seen a significant increase in food sales and private bookings."

Horts, which hosted the 2013 annual general meeting of the Bristol & District CAMRA branch, sells a variety of craft ales, European lagers and ciders.
