A guesthouse in Bristol has lifted four vintage Airstream caravans onto its roof as a quirky new place in the city for visitors to stay.
Brooks Guesthouse has placed the silver caravans on its flat roof for guests to enjoy a unique overnight experience from 1 May 2014.
Local Crane Company Kings of Bristol used a 100ft crane on Sunday to lift the four British-made Retro Rockets caravans from St Nicholas Street over several buildings onto the roof.
Co-owner Carla Brooks told AOL Travel: "I am thrilled that the craning of the four caravans went smoothly. This week we will be fitting them out ready for sale this weekend - what better way to spend the May bank holiday than in Bristol?"
Carla added: "The new caravans will be luxuriously kitted out with Hans Grohe power showers, heated towel rails, demister mirrors, electric shaver points, pocket sprung mattresses and designer guild interiors curtains and cushions.
"They will really sum up the spirit of the area, which is boho and bursting with character. There is no other hotel in the UK offering this unusual accommodation option, so it will be completely unique to Bristol."
There are four caravans available to book, two of which are doubles and two are family caravans that can accommodate two adults and two children. Rates are from £99 per night per caravan (B&B) for two people sharing.
They are situated on the rooftop garden of Brooks Guesthouse, surrounded by grass and plants and painted walls designed and built by local landscape gardener Steve Kelvin.
The first guests have booked a stay on Friday 2 May and Bristol Mayor George Ferguson will officially launch the caravans on 14 May 2014.
