YourStreet Ltd is a new and innovative gift card scheme for independent retailers developed by Anne-Louise Perez and Imogen Mcintosh. It offers an economic lift to high streets and a morale boost to independent retailers and services. Our aim is to bring back footfall to the high street to sustain the long term future of the high street and all its independent retailers and services.
The YourStreet gift card is unique. It is a multi-store gift card only redeemable in independent retailers and services that are part of the YourStreet network. It will be available for purchase online via www.yourstreetgiftcards.com .
YourStreet Ltd will start in Bristol - Gloucester Road, Whiteladies Road, Park Street, Clifton Village and North Street. Bristol retailers are showing their support by signing up. They look forward to reaping the rewards the gift card will bring.
Bristol will be the flagship city for this national scheme.
There has been considerable support for YourStreet Ltd. The University of the West of England have bought preloaded cards for all their full time undergraduates starting in September 2013. “UWE is pleased to have the opportunity to support this initiative. The vibrant and diverse retail sector in Bristol is a real attraction and benefit to students here. Connecting to the economic growth and development of Bristol are key elements of UWE’s strategic plans and independent traders have a critical role to play in this. The University has a wide range of initiatives and services already in relation to small businesses, including regular Farmers and Traders Markers on Frenchay Campus and this builds on that work.” John Rushforth, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Operations ) Other support comes from the Mayor, George Ferguson and Bristol City Council. 'I am a great supporter of Bristol's local centres and its many independent traders, as demonstrated by my commitment to initiatives such as the Bristol Pound and the Bristol Independents campaign. The establishment of YourStreet is both entrepreneurial and creative. It's yet another great idea to come out of Bristol.' Bristol Mayor, George Ferguson And BITC(Business In The Community) ‘As a mentor for Yourstreet gift cards I have been extremely impressed by Anne-Louise's and Imogen's desire and determination to exceed in their fantastic new business. A gift card business for independent retailers and organisations is a tremendous initiative and business concept idea that is unique in Bristol. Having worked with both Anne-Louise and Imogen over the last few months, I know they have a very successful business venture which will build upon the solid foundations already established and grow further across Bristol and ultimately into further cities nationally. I encourage everyone to get behind this brilliant start up business which showcases and supports local independent retailers. I am honoured to be part of their success and YourStreet gift cards can look forward to a very bright future in the years ahead’.

Imogen McIntosh and Anne-Louise Perez are the two directors who saw this gap in the UK market. “We were celebrating a friend’s 40th birthday and had £150 to spend. It became a difficult choice where to spend it. It then dawned on us that the solution was a gift card that could be used in multiple independent retailers and services”.
Both are proud of the area they live in and appreciative of the vast choice of independent retailers and services available on Gloucester Road, Bristol.
Statistics from the Gift Card &Voucher Association indicate that 38% of the UK population buy a gift card. Currently the profits go to the corporate sector and chain stores. If 10% of gift card buyers in Bristol purchased a YourStreet gift card, this would redirect £800,000 per year to independent services.
The launch of YourStreet Ltd is set for June 22 2013 at Nailsea Electrical/102 Cookery School, Gloucester Road, Bristol. It will be a high profile event.
Guest speakers will include UWE and the Mayor of Bristol, George Ferguson.
